    • Hiram Akers aged 25 wed 5 June 1849 to Elizabeth Medwin aged 18, both made their marks, in the presence of Edwin Medwin and Mary Atkins at St Paul's Church, Stanley, Tasmania. Elizabeth was a daughter of William Medwin and Elizabeth Sarah Cock. On the same day Sarah Medwin aged 16 wed Robert Latimer 34 schoolmaster with John Medwin as witness. Elizabeth's death is recorded in Victoria 1851 #28482 aged 19, buried from Church of England, St Peters Melbourne [2]
