3. | Mary Edith Robertson was born 3 Jun 1851, Cumberland, North Carolina, United States of America (daughter of Thomas Robertson and Hepsa Surles); died 3 Jan 1929, Rudy Crawford County, Arkansas, United States of America. Notes:
I, Mary E. Barlow am the widow of Ransom Barlow. I was married to him when I was 14 years old at Smith- field, Johnson County, North Carolina. We moved from there the next year and have been moving off and on ever since. We never have been back and have had no people to correspond with. That is 53 years ago and there is not a soul I know who to write to, for this reason, I can not furnish the testimony of persons who can testify that I lived from the date of my marriage until his death of my husband, other than J.A. Robertson who is the only living witness to my marriage and my eldest daughter Alice Tyer. I am the Mother of L.S. Barlow who served in the war just closed. He enlisted at Van Buren Arkansas, 28th day of August and was discharged at Camp Pike the 15th day of March 1919. He served in C.A. 12th regiment Division 8. He has no claim on the government, I can further say, I and my husband were never parted; neither were we ever divorced but lived together from marriage until his death.
